About the PTA
The purpose of the Parent Teacher Association is to support school activities and fundraise for the benefit of the students. The PTA is a charitable body which relies on volunteering from staff, parents, carers and students of North Berwick High School.
What does the PTA raise funds for?
The funds we raise enable us to support students across the school community, providing the “extras” that fall outwith the usual school budgets. Some examples include; supporting the Student Hardship Fund, donating musical instruments, funding student projects, and online learning subscriptions. The PTA also hosts an annual Burns Supper for senior students and their parents.
How does the PTA fundraise?
We run fundraising activities and events during the school year. Our current fundraiser is the Library Book Donation. Together we can continue to build and support our North Berwick High School community.
What else has the PTA done?
In pre-coronovirus times the PTA had a presence at many school-based events during the year. Supporting the school community by providing information at parent evenings and open days. During school concerts the PTA organise the sale of refreshments and raffles. We are looking forward to a time when these events can resume. Other previous fundraisers include the online Festive Fairs, the Doddie Weir Book Signing Event and our Fizz and Fancies Afternoon Tea.
We also promote the use of the easyfundraising shopping website
